This project was featured in 425 Magazine as the 2009 Idea Home. The contractor, Bristol Design and Construction, is an award winning design/build firm that specializes in kitchen, bath and major remodels all over the Seattle area. The basic concept of the media and technology design was to not take away from the design of the actual house but rather have it blend as seamlessly as possible.

For this project it was important to bring the big screen home. Comfortable theatre seats set right under your own starry night. Top it off with a universal remote control that will with one touch turn on all your equipment, start the movie and dim the lights.

This project was a media/lifestyle system that was incorporated into a beautifully built custom cabinet. The system accesses media from the home computers and uses the internet capabilities of the receiver to play the music throughout the house. The kitchen television seamlessly integrates into the end of the island and all of the surveillance cameras are viewed either remotely over the internet or from any computer or television throughout the house.
